The Longford Project, 2015, exhibition at Longford Town Hall, curated by Nicholas Tsoutas and Brianna Munting, presented as part of the Tasmanian International Arts Festival, TAS, Mar 2015.
The work in this exhibition came out of residencies when the group (Elizabeth Day, Anna Gibbs, Julie Gough and Noelene Lucas) started to meet and work with some of the community of Longford, and to produce works that reflected their diasporic connections to the town. The images were projected onto items that were found in the hall including scaffolding and old furniture. The exhibition showed films, interviews and explorations of the town and its residents (some of whom have geneaological links to the Longford Project).
