The Longford Project, Residency at Bundanon Trust, 2016 (Elizabeth Day, Anna Gibbs, Julie Gough and Noelene Lucas).
The Longford Project interrogates the ideological, personal and geographical relationships between people, landscape, history and home and the tensions surrounding the group’s personal connection to Longford, Tasmania. The group has previously been awarded a Development Grant from the Australia Council (2013) and has exhibited in Longford as part of the Tasmanian International Arts Festival, Articulate Project Space, Sydney, and Sydney College of the Arts Gallery at the University of Sydney. https://www.bundanon.com.au/residents/the-longford-project/
The images below, the silhouettes, are part of the experimentation The Longford Project group did during a residency at Bundanon. This was the beginnings of the Crime Scene tent work that is based in research into actual violent colonial crimes in and around the historic town of Longford in Tasmania, established 1812.
